This Privacy Policy applies to SpringCertified.com (https://www.springcertified.com), an independent website offering study resources and practice questions for the VMware Spring Professional (2V0-72.22) certification exam. SpringCertified.com is not affiliated with VMware or Broadcom.

The data we collect depends on how you use the site:

• All visitors — usage data (pages visited, session duration, referral source), device data (browser, OS, screen resolution), and IP address processed transiently for analytics (only if you consent — see Section 3).
• Registered users — email address and a unique user identifier, stored to manage your account and track access permissions.
• Paying customers — email address, name, and a payment processor customer ID, processed to fulfil your purchase.
• Contact form — name, email address, and message content, used solely to respond to your enquiry.

We do not store payment card details — all card processing is handled directly by our payment provider (LemonSqueezy).

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the site. GA4 collects data such as pages viewed, session duration, and traffic sources. This data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred to servers in the United States. Analytics cookies are only placed after you give consent via the cookie banner. Sentry (Error Monitoring)

We use Sentry to detect and diagnose technical errors on the site. Sentry automatically captures error messages, stack traces, browser/OS information, and the URL at the time of the error. It may also record anonymised session replays to help reproduce bugs. For logged-in users, the account email address and user identifier are attached to error reports to assist with diagnosis.

Data is processed by Sentry, Inc. and stored on servers in Germany (ingest.de.sentry.io). Sentry Privacy Policy

Clerk (Authentication)

User accounts are managed by Clerk. When you register, Clerk collects your email address and creates a unique user identifier. This identifier and email are also stored in our own database to manage access permissions. Data is processed by Clerk, Inc. (United States). Clerk Privacy Policy

LemonSqueezy (Payments)

Purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy. When you buy access, your name, email address, and payment details are submitted directly to LemonSqueezy. Resend (Contact Form Emails)

Messages sent via the contact form are delivered using Resend. Your name, email address, and message content are transmitted to Resend's servers (United States) and forwarded to our inbox. We do not use this data for marketing. Resend does not retain the message content after delivery. Resend Privacy Policy

We use the following cookies on this site. Analytics cookies are only placed after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. The theme cookie is strictly necessary for site functionality and does not require consent.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis for each type of processing is:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — Google Analytics cookies. Only set after you accept via the cookie banner; no analytics data is collected if you decline.
• Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — processing your email and user identifier to provide and manage your account, and processing payment data to fulfil your purchase.
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — error monitoring via Sentry (no PII sent) to maintain a functioning, secure service; processing contact form enquiries to respond to your message.

• Google Analytics — 14 months, as configured in our GA4 property settings.
• Account data (email, user identifier, access status) — retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
• Payment records — retained as required for tax and accounting obligations (typically 5–7 years depending on jurisdiction).
• Contact form messages — retained in our inbox for up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Sentry error data — retained for 90 days per Sentry's default retention policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is shared only with the following processors, each bound by data processing agreements:

• Google LLC (United States) — Google Analytics 4.
• Sentry, Inc. (Germany data centre) — error monitoring.
• Clerk, Inc. (United States) — user authentication.
• Lemon Squeezy, LLC (United States) — payment processing.
• Resend, Inc. (United States) — contact form email delivery.
• Vercel Inc. (United States) — hosting and edge runtime; may process server logs containing IP addresses.

Transfers to the United States are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent adequacy mechanisms maintained by each processor.

If you are located in the EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — request a copy of data held about you.
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated personal data (quiz history, bookmarks, email address). Send a deletion request to contact@springcertified.com with the subject line "Account deletion request" and we will process it within 30 days.
• Right to restriction — request that we limit processing of your data.
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured format.

This site is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
